The Heatmap is the best way to get the top level information of your latest survey, showing the average scores of the Mood, Drivers & Response rate and their respective groups.
The top level groups can be expanded all the way down to a particular department or manager.
Filtering
At the top right of the heatmap you will see an option for adding filters, which are created with the data imported into Butterfly.
Filtering will adjust the Heatmap to only show the data related to the filter i.e. Location > France will hide everything but the averages from your French locations.
You can select one or more options from a filter by pressing the + sign and then add any number of additional filters. Please note that if there are ever less than 4 users in the filtered data, it will be hidden to protect anonymity.
You can remove the selected filters by clicking "Reset Filters" from the menu.
Breakdowns
At the bottom of the Heatmap you will find Breakdowns. Choosing a Breakdown will adjust the report to show each of the options under a filter so that you can do a quick analysis or comparison.
In this example we chose the location filter:
Applying a filter once you have selected a breakdown will further slice the data allowing you to look at very specific sections of the organization and glean insights.
In this example we are adding the "Work Categories" filter so that we can easily see only the Hourly workers in each location:
Column Controls
Over each column you will see an option to hide, highlight & sort the selected data.
Hide
After hiding a column an eye will appear next to the "Team Table" column which will return the report to the default view.
Highlight
This action will change the display of the selected column making it easier to refer back to later. This will be especially helpful when applying Filters and Breakdowns to the data.
